Submit data, or get in touch

This form is also the way to contact the editor about anything at all — licensing and reuse, a takedown request, press, a correction to the site itself: choose get in touch below, tick keep this private, and it comes to me by email rather than as a public record.

Tell us what you know: a sign we don’t show, a proper local name, a locked gate, a surface that has changed, a climb we’ve missed. Local knowledge is evidence here like everything else — it gets recorded with its source and tested against the measurement, the same way we test signs, map tags and our own numbers, because every kind of observation carries its own errors. If a gradient looks wrong to you, that is worth reporting too; we’ll re-examine the data. No account needed. Wondering why a road you know feels brutal but isn’t listed at all? See what about the road near me?

Have a photo?

Photos (of a sign, a gate, the road) are the best evidence there is — and they attach through GitHub, which hosts them for us. If you don’t have an account, creating one is free and takes a minute; then open a climb report and drag the photo in. Rather not sign up? Use the form above and mention you have a photo — we’ll reply on the public record with a way to get it to us.

What happens to a submission

Your submission becomes a public GitHub issue on the project’s repository, containing exactly the text you typed (and the credit name if you gave one) — so please don’t include personal information you wouldn’t post publicly. Tick keep this private and it is instead emailed to the editor and nothing is posted; that is the route for licensing questions and takedown requests. The form sets no cookies and records no IP address or identity in the report. To have a submission removed later, open an issue or comment on the existing one. Cloudflare, which serves this site, processes connection data (including IP addresses) for security in the ordinary course of hosting.
